What you can expect:
Preferred by Nature is looking for an AI & Digital Transformation Specialist to support our ongoing journey of digital innovation. This role will focus on analysing workflows, identifying opportunities for AI and automation, and leading the design and adoption of new tools that make our work more effective, ethical, and impactful.
You will collaborate across programmes and operations to map user requirements, conduct build-vs-buy analyses, and deliver training that strengthens digital fluency. You will help shape a future-ready organisation where AI and other digital technologies are integrated into everyday work in a responsible and inclusive way.
You will play a key role in ensuring that our AI adoption is both practical and principled—contributing to governance standards, building capacity, and embedding digital tools into workflows that support people, nature, and the climate.
Working with us is never routine, so in your first year you can expect the following areas to be central to your work.
Within three months, you will:
- Develop a strong understanding of Preferred by Nature's mission, digital priorities, and current AI initiatives.
- Map initial workflows and identify quick-win opportunities for AI/automation.
- Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
Within six months, you will:

- Prepare and present business cases with cost-benefit and risk analyses.
- Deliver practical training materials (guides, tutorials, videos, FAQs) to strengthen digital fluency and support tool uptake.
Within twelve months, you will:
- Take ownership of the end-to-end implementation of at least one AI/digital solution, from scoping to roll-out.
- Track adoption and impact through measurable KPIs, feeding insights into continuous improvement.
- Contribute to Preferred by Nature's AI governance standards and champion ethical AI use across the organisation.
Important that you:
- Have experience in business-process analysis, business analytics, and digital transformation, with a strong ability to interpret data and use it for decision-making.
- Bring an independent, solution-oriented mindset, able to see patterns, simplify complexity, and propose actionable improvements.
- Are open-minded and adaptable, with curiosity to explore new tools and approaches.
- Possess strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a user-friendly way.
- Have strong documentation skills — able to capture workflows, requirements, and decisions quickly and accurately, producing structured notes that ensure clarity, traceability, and accountability.
- Have experience designing and delivering training or capacity-building initiatives, ideally in cross-cultural or nonprofit settings.
- Bring hands-on experience with AI tools and their organisational applications.
- Are comfortable working remotely and collaborating effectively across teams, ideally within Asia, Europe, or Africa time zones.
Would also be great, but not necessary, if you:
- Are familiar with Azure AI Services, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), SharePoint/Teams integrations.
- Have experience with DevOps pipelines.
- Have a background in sustainability, international development, or related fields.
- Understand AI ethics, responsible-AI principles, and data protection.
- Hold a degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer/Data Science, or a related field.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you
What Sets Us Apart:
- Global work culture
- High degree of flexibility - remote work, work from home.
- An in-depth onboarding and professional training that prepares you with the right skills and knowledge to thrive in this role.
- Excellent opportunities for growth and professional development
